Sysmex XN-350 haematology analyser

Sysmex XN-350 automated haematology analyzer

A compact Sysmex analyzer with open-tube sampling, a 6-part white cell differential, low WBC mode and optional reticulocyte and body fluid analysis. Milap International supplies, installs and services the XN-350 as an authorised Sysmex partner.

  • 6-part differential including immature granulocytes (IG)
  • Up to 60 samples/hour in whole blood mode
  • RET and body fluid optional licences
  • 100,000 results onboard data storage

What is the Sysmex XN-350?

The Sysmex XN-350 is a compact benchtop haematology analyzer from the XN-L series. It gives a complete blood count (CBC) with a 6-part white cell differential, including an immature granulocyte (IG) count, using fluorescent flow cytometry. It uses manual open-tube sampling and adds a low WBC mode plus optional reticulocyte and body fluid analysis, which makes it a strong fit for small and mid-sized hospital labs.

Key features

6-part differential with IG

Neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils plus an immature granulocyte count, with no extra reagents.

Low WBC mode

Longer counting for accurate results in patients with very low white cell counts.

Reticulocyte option

Adds RET#, RET%, immature reticulocyte fraction (IRF) and reticulocyte haemoglobin (RET-He) with an optional licence.

Body fluid option

Counts cells in common body fluids with a 2-part differential, using an optional licence.

Large data storage

Stores up to 100,000 sample results onboard.

Same technology as the XN-Series

Shares reagents and controls with larger Sysmex XN analyzers, so results stay consistent across a lab network.

How a CBC runs on the XN-350

  1. Collect the blood sample in an EDTA tube; standard and micro-collection tubes are supported.
  2. Open the tube and present it to the sample probe, which aspirates 25 µL of whole blood.
  3. The analyzer counts red cells and platelets by impedance, measures haemoglobin with a cyanide-free method and separates white cells by fluorescent flow cytometry.
  4. Results, flags and scattergrams appear on the touchscreen; low WBC, RET or body fluid modes can be selected when needed.

Who is the XN-350 for?

The XN-350 suits small and mid-sized hospital labs and diagnostic centres that want a full differential with room to grow. The optional reticulocyte and body fluid modes mean one analyzer can cover anaemia work-ups and CSF or fluid cell counts, without a second instrument.
