What is application training?
Application training teaches the people who use a medical device how to operate it correctly in daily work: preparing and loading samples, running tests, reading results and flags, running quality control and doing routine maintenance. Milap International gives this training on site after every installation, and again when new staff join.
It is practical: your team runs real samples on your own system with an engineer or application specialist beside them.
What the training covers
System basics
What the equipment measures, its main parts and safe handling.
Daily operation
Start-up, sample preparation, loading, running tests and shutdown.
Results and flags
Reading reports, understanding flags and when to repeat a test.
Quality control
Running controls, reviewing QC and acting on out-of-range results.
User maintenance
Daily and weekly cleaning and checks that prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshooting
Common errors, simple fixes and when to call service.
Training by role
| Who | Focus | When |
|---|---|---|
| Operators and technicians | Daily runs, sample handling, QC and user maintenance | At installation |
| Supervisors and lab managers | QC review, user access, data and LIS workflow | At installation |
| Nurses and ward staff | Point-of-care testing at the bedside | At installation and for new wards |
| New staff | Refresher on operation and QC | On request |
Why training matters
Most avoidable errors and service calls come from how equipment is used: a poorly mixed sample, a skipped cleaning cycle, a control that was not run. Good training removes these at the start.
Well-trained users also get more from the system. They trust the flags, repeat fewer tests and keep the analyzer available for patients.
Who should attend
Lab technicians
Everyone who will run samples on the system.
Supervisors
Whoever reviews QC and manages users.
Nurses
For point-of-care devices used on wards, ICU and emergency.
