Fully automated urine analyzers

Urine analyzers that load capped tubes and run physical tests, strip chemistry and sediment microscopy on their own, then send one combined report to your LIS. Milap International supplies, installs and services the AVE-772 integrated urine analyzer, available in India through Matrix.

What is a fully automated urine analyzer?

A fully automated urine analyzer is an instrument that runs a complete urinalysis without manual steps: it takes the sample from a capped tube, measures physical properties, reads a dry-chemistry strip and examines the urine sediment under an automated microscope. The AVE-772 uses AI machine vision to identify and count red and white cells, epithelial cells, casts and crystals, and shows the real images for review.

It replaces the slowest part of routine urinalysis, manual microscopy, so busy labs report faster and more consistently.

What does a full urinalysis cover?

Physical properties

Colour, turbidity, specific gravity, conductivity and osmolality, measured automatically.

Strip chemistry

Up to 14 items, including blood, leukocytes, protein, glucose, nitrite, ketones, bilirubin, urobilinogen, pH and ascorbic acid.

Kidney markers

Microalbumin, creatinine and calcium on the 14-item strip, for early kidney damage screening.

Cells

Red and white blood cells and epithelial cells, counted and classified from microscope images.

Casts and crystals

Identified by AI machine vision, with full-field and segmented images for verification.

One report

Physical, chemistry and sediment results combined for each patient and sent to your LIS or HIS.

Is a fully automated analyzer right for your lab?

High daily urine volume

60-sample loading and up to 240 chemistry tests an hour keep the morning peak moving.

Manual microscopy is the bottleneck

Automated sediment analysis frees technicians from reading slides one by one.

Consistent reporting

Standardised classification and stored images reduce reader-to-reader variation.

Closed-tube safety

Cap-piercing sampling means staff do not open urine tubes.

Lower volume? A Siemens CLINITEK Advantus or CLINITEK Status Connect may fit better.

Automated or manual microscopy?

In most labs, urine sediment is still spun down and read under a microscope by a technician. It works, but it is slow, depends on who is reading and leaves no image record.

An automated analyzer such as the AVE-772 images every sample, classifies the formed elements with AI and keeps the pictures, so a technician only reviews flagged results. Strip chemistry and physical tests run in the same instrument, giving one report per patient.

Frequently asked questions

It is an instrument that runs physical tests, strip chemistry and sediment microscopy on a urine sample without manual steps, and combines the results into one report.

A strip reader such as the CLINITEK Status+ or Advantus reads urine chemistry strips only. A fully automated analyzer such as the AVE-772 also measures physical properties and analyses the urine sediment with an automated microscope.

Up to 240 chemistry tests per hour and up to 120 microscopy tests per hour, with a loading capacity of 60 samples.

For routine samples, yes: it identifies and counts cells, casts and crystals using AI machine vision and stores the images. Technicians review flagged samples on screen and can still confirm unusual findings manually.

About 3 mL, collected in a capped tube; the analyzer pierces the cap to draw the sample.

Yes. The AVE-772 has a bidirectional LIS/HIS interface, and Milap handles the interfacing during installation.

Yes. Milap engineers install and commission the analyzer, train your staff, supply genuine strips and consumables, and offer preventive maintenance, AMC or CMC with breakdown support from Bengaluru.

Milap International, based in Bengaluru, supplies fully automated urine analyzers to hospitals, laboratories and clinics across Karnataka as an authorised channel partner for the brands on this page, with installation, training and service from the same team.
