3-part hematology analyzers

Affordable, compact CBC analyzers that group white blood cells into lymphocytes, mid cells and granulocytes. Milap International supplies, installs and services the Avantor BeneSphera H33s for routine CBC screening and the HORIBA Microsemi CRP for CBC and CRP from one small sample.

What is a 3-part hematology analyzer?

A 3-part hematology analyzer is an automated instrument that runs a complete blood count (CBC) and sorts white blood cells into three groups by size: lymphocytes, mid-sized cells (mostly monocytes) and granulocytes. It counts cells by electrical impedance, needs only a few microlitres of blood and uses a small set of reagents.

That makes it the usual choice for clinics, nursing homes and small labs that run routine CBC screening and want a low cost per test.

What does a 3-part CBC report?

White cell count and 3-part differential

Total WBC plus lymphocytes, mid cells and granulocytes, as counts and percentages.

Red cells and haemoglobin

RBC, HGB and HCT, the core numbers for spotting anaemia.

Red cell indices

MCV, MCH, MCHC and RDW, which help tell different types of anaemia apart.

Platelets

PLT, MPV, PDW and PCT for bleeding and clotting risk.

Histograms

WBC, RBC and platelet size curves that show abnormal populations at a glance.

Flags

Alerts such as leucopenia, anaemia or thrombocytopenia that tell staff when a sample needs a closer look.

Which model fits your practice?

Routine CBC screening

The Avantor BeneSphera H33s runs 70 samples an hour from 9 µL of blood and connects to your LIS, for clinics and small labs with a steady daily load.

CBC plus CRP in one visit

The HORIBA Microsemi CRP gives a CBC and C-reactive protein together in about 4 minutes, so doctors can decide on antibiotics while the patient is still there.

Need a fuller differential?

If you see many abnormal samples or want fewer smear reviews, compare our 5-part hematology analyzers.

3-part or 5-part: which do you need?

A 3-part analyzer is the practical choice for routine screening: it is affordable to buy and run, needs very little blood and gives results in about a minute. It suits general practice, nursing homes, collection centres and paediatric clinics.

A 5-part analyzer also counts eosinophils and basophils separately and flags abnormal cells more precisely. Choose one if you handle hospital, oncology or high-volume reference work, or want fewer manual smear reviews.

See the Sysmex XN 5-part range for hospital and reference labs.

Frequently asked questions

It is an automated CBC analyzer that sorts white blood cells into three groups by size: lymphocytes, mid cells and granulocytes, alongside red cell, haemoglobin and platelet results.

A 3-part analyzer reports three white cell groups. A 5-part analyzer reports all five types separately, including eosinophils and basophils, and flags abnormal samples more precisely, but costs more to buy and run.

For most clinics, nursing homes and small labs, yes. A 3-part CBC covers routine screening for anaemia, infection and platelet problems, and flagged samples can be sent for a smear review or a 5-part count.

The HORIBA Microsemi CRP gives a 3-part CBC and a C-reactive protein result from 18 µL of whole blood in about 4 minutes.

Very little: the BeneSphera H33s needs 9 µL of whole blood, and the Microsemi CRP needs 10 µL for a CBC or 18 µL for CBC with CRP, which suits finger-prick and paediatric samples.

It depends on the model, whether you need CRP, and the reagent and service plan. Share your daily sample count and we will send pricing, the reagent cost per test and an AMC quote.

Yes. Milap engineers install and commission the analyzer, train your staff, supply genuine reagents and controls, and offer preventive maintenance, AMC or CMC with breakdown support from Bengaluru.

Milap International, based in Bengaluru, supplies 3-part hematology analyzers to hospitals, laboratories and clinics across Karnataka as an authorised channel partner for the brands on this page, with installation, training and service from the same team.
