What are point-of-care consumables?
Point-of-care consumables are the single-use items an analyzer needs to run a test: cartridges, test cards, reagent strips, quality-control material and sampling supplies. Why use genuine consumables?
Point-of-care analyzers are calibrated for the manufacturer’s own cartridges and strips. Genuine consumables keep results accurate, keep the built-in quality checks working and keep the analyzer within its warranty and service terms.
Expiry dates and storage matter too: cartridges and strips lose accuracy if they are stored outside their stated temperature range. We check expiry on every order and advise on storage.
